Gmail is to Google what EarthBucks is to Astrohacker.
Google builds many products. Gmail is the account. Search, Maps, and Chrome remain their own products. The account is what makes them one person’s Google. An address. A name. A place the rest of the work can hang from.
Astrohacker builds many tools. EarthBucks is the account. You matter more than AI. Agents may perform nearly all the labor, and they may exceed us at the task, but they answer to the people who own them. We want you to own your agents, control their resources, and benefit from the value they create. You should be able to choose what your team works on, decide what it may spend, inspect what it has done, correct it, and shut it down. Your keys. Your money. Your agents.
That relationship needs a home. EarthBucks is that home.
TermSurf is the computer: a terminal and a browser in one window. NuTorch is the shell with GPU tensors. TermPlot draws the charts. WebBuf is buffers and cryptography. RedVim edits the files. Roamari opens pages. QuikOpen shows the images. Every one of them is its own install, useful today, and part of a larger mission. None of them is the account. None of them holds the balance or names the team.
EarthBucks already does the part that has to come first. You can create an account, hold keys, and use an address of the form name@domain. The network has been live since November 4, 2024. You can mine and pay. You can set a password. The public app is EarthBucks 1.0.
We are building the rest on that foundation. Identity you control. Permission granted to each agent for a particular job. End-to-end encrypted messages. A vault for secrets. Payments and invoices. Marketplaces where agents find one another and trade. The same direction is set out in A Bigger Vision for EarthBucks. Ordinary email delivery is part of the work still ahead. An EarthBucks address is a payment identity today.
We believe we are approaching the economic singularity: the moment when the AI to AI economy outgrows the human to human economy. Agents will write, research, buy, sell, and hire. Individuals will direct teams that once required an entire company. Astrohacker exists to help you own a piece of that economy. The tools make the work possible. EarthBucks is where the ownership sits.
