EarthBucks Is Coming Home to Astrohacker

EarthBucks Is a Core Astrohacker Product
EarthBucks is now a core Astrohacker product: restyled to match the company, folded into the main repository, with live earthbucks.com still on 1.0. In late August 2026 the public EarthBucks app was matched to the other Astrohacker surfaces, the source and its history moved into the main company repository, and EarthBucks 2.0 engineering continued in that repository. This is not a new coin, not a genesis reset, and not a claim that 2.0 is live. Existing balances, keys, and addresses keep working.
EarthBucks always was the money layer of the Astrohacker portfolio. TermSurf is the interface. KeyPears is identity, secrets, and messaging. EarthBucks is electronic cash. Cryptography in this stack is plumbing, not a product category.
For years EarthBucks lived in its own repo, with its own look, while TermSurf and the company site grew Austin Night, GlyphRain, and the same UI kit. The split between EarthBucks and the rest of Astrohacker is closed. EarthBucks is not a side project parked on another domain forever.
EarthBucks is a from-scratch global electronic cash system in the Bitcoin / Bitcoin Cash lineage. EarthBucks is not a Bitcoin fork. EarthBucks is GPU-mined. Addresses look like email: name@earthbucks.com. The live 1.0 site is https://earthbucks.com/. The product name stays EarthBucks.
Astrohacker Begins EarthBucks 2.0 and The EarthBucks 2.0 Network Plan already set the direction. KeyPears came home in the same kind of fold-in. TermSurf 0.3.10 already added an in-terminal miner against the live site. This post is the EarthBucks status after the look and the repo caught up.
The Site Now Looks Like Astrohacker
https://earthbucks.com/ is dark Austin Night, the same night palette as astrohacker.com and the TermSurf apps. The site is also reachable at https://earthbucks.astrohacker.com/. GlyphRain sits behind the pages. Page chrome uses the shared Astrohacker UI kit: fields, glass cards, selects, buttons, overlay navigation.
A visitor should notice a dark ground, a cyan EarthBucks mark, and a rain of glyphs instead of a flat light page. Signed-in navigation is an overlay drawer. The overlay drawer uses a burger control, slides from the left, and blurs the page behind it. The overlay drawer matches the other Astrohacker apps and replaces the leftover blue top-link row. Mine, pay, keys, profile, blog, and legal pages use the same kit language as the company site. Footer and article prose follow the Astrohacker site, not a separate EarthBucks theme. Copyright is Astrohacker Inc.
EarthBucks used to look like a different company. EarthBucks now looks like the rest of Astrohacker.
Mining, pay, and keys still work as they did. This restyle did not change the chain, the supply, or the mine protocol.
The Code Came Home
EarthBucks used to live in a separate Astrohacker-owned repository. EarthBucks history is now inside the main Astrohacker business repo. The live EarthBucks site deploys from the main Astrohacker tree, next to TermSurf, KeyPears, and astrohacker.com.
One company. One repo. EarthBucks is not a guest brand. The public app, the miner libraries, and the 2.0 mine work sit with the rest of Astrohacker. Production now runs on the same AWS family as the Astrohacker site. Users still hit https://earthbucks.com/.
TermSurf already ships a one-page miner against the live EarthBucks site. In that miner you paste a pubkey and a privkey, log in, and mine earthbucks.com work from the terminal. GPU hashing runs in the TermSurf Chromium pane. Work per iteration is Low, Medium, or High. The miner has a usage slider from 1% to 100%. The TermSurf miner is ahebx, product name Astrohacker EarthBucks. ahebx is not a wallet and is not the earthbucks.com website. ahebx has no pay UI, no balance UI, and no onboarding UI. The ahebx domain is fixed to earthbucks.com. Other mines for the TermSurf miner are coming soon. Chromium is still the only shipped TermSurf browser engine. You do not need an Astrohacker account to use TermSurf.
You can also open https://earthbucks.com/ in a browser, including a TermSurf browser pane.
EarthBucks 2.0 Continues. Live EarthBucks Is Still 1.0
Live earthbucks.com is still EarthBucks 1.0: the current single-mine system. EarthBucks 2.0 is not cut over.
EarthBucks 2.0 is the phase that turns the single-mine system into a real mine network. Mines are accountable services at domain names, not anonymous hobby nodes. The intended launch shape is three Astrohacker-operated mines (mine1.earthbucks.com, mine2.earthbucks.com, mine3.earthbucks.com), with a pool that browser miners talk to, and wallets that are not themselves mines.
A lot of the consensus substrate already exists in engineering. Rust mines, validation, pool work templates, and lab multi-mine runs are real work. Engineering work is not the same as the public network being live. You cannot point a wallet at mine1 today as the production chain.
The direction has not changed since May. EarthBucks 2.0 still separates mines that settle, pools that coordinate work, and wallets that hold money. Mines stay identified by domain name. 1.0 history is preserved. There is no balance reset.
This UI and repo fold did not ship the 2.0 three-mine production network. The live earthbucks.com app is still the 1.0 site, not a new 2.0-only wallet. EarthBucks still has no Bitcoin Cash wallet. Self-custodial EBX/BCH atomic swaps are not shipping. Bitcoin Cash liquidity and swaps remain later work after the mine network exists. The May 2026 posts named Bitcoin Cash liquidity and swaps as 2.0 goals. Those goals are not cancelled. Those goals have not shipped.
The next bottleneck is still the real network. Liquidity work comes after that network exists.
EarthBucks 2.0 is not a post-quantum rewrite. The live cash is still 1.0. Existing money has to keep working while the network gets built.
Install Astrohacker TermSurf
Apple silicon Mac and Homebrew. One cask installs Astrohacker TermSurf at /Applications/Astrohacker TermSurf.app.
brew tap astrohackerlabs/termsurf
brew trust astrohackerlabs/termsurf
brew install --cask termsurf
If TermSurf is already installed:
brew update
brew upgrade --cask termsurf
After install, mine live EarthBucks from the terminal with ahebx, or open https://earthbucks.com/ in a browser, including a TermSurf browser pane.
